Privacy policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This policy explains what information The Buyer's Notebook (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit thebuyersnotebook.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting and security logs. Our site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Ad click information. If you arrive by clicking one of our ads (for example on Google), the page address may include a click identifier such as “gclid” and campaign details. Our site stores these in your browser’s local storage for up to 90 days and adds them to the merchant links on our pages. This lets the merchant’s sales platform report back to the ad network whether an ad led to a purchase. We do not receive your name, payment details or order contents.
- Analytics. We may use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics, such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, to count visits and see which pages are useful.
Affiliate links and third-party sites
When you click a merchant link, you leave our site. The merchant and its sales platform (for example ClickBank) may use cookies and collect information under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to read them before you buy.
Advertising
We advertise our guides on platforms such as Google Ads. These platforms may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads. You can learn how Google uses information and manage your ad preferences at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and adssettings.google.com.
How we use information
- To operate, secure and improve the site
- To measure which ads and pages are effective
- To respond to your messages
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
- You can clear your browser’s local storage and cookies at any time, or block them in your browser settings.
- You can opt out of personalized Google ads through Google’s ad settings linked above.
- You can ask us to access or delete the information you sent us by email.
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states, the EU/UK, or Brazil, you may have additional rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email contact@thebuyersnotebook.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Data retention and security
We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request. Click information stored in your browser expires after 90 days. We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
