Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: October 31, 2026
The Buyer's Notebook (thebuyersnotebook.com) is a reader-supported publication. In line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements, we want to be clear about how we make money.
What affiliate links are
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and buy something, the merchant, or the platform that processes the sale on its behalf (such as ClickBank), may pay us a commission. You never pay more because you used our link. The price is the same as going to the merchant directly.
How it affects our content
- We only recommend products we believe are a good fit for the problem a guide covers.
- We include drawbacks and “who should skip it” sections for every pick, commission or not.
- Brands do not pay for placement, rankings or positive coverage.
- Pages that contain affiliate links carry a notice at the top.
Who sells the product
We are a publisher, not a seller. When you buy through our links, your purchase, payment, shipping, returns and customer service are handled by the merchant or its authorized retailer, under their own terms and policies. Please review those terms on the order page before you buy.
Accuracy
Prices, promotions and policies change frequently. We describe them as accurately as we can at the time of writing, but the merchant’s order page is always the final word.
